College Prep
February 22, 2010
The College Prep Blog has a stunning new Blog Design! ”The College Prepster” is a Sophomore at Georgetown University and her blog is dedicated to all fellow prepsters out there.
Her previous header was created with scrapbook materials (how creative is that?!) - and while she loved the idea, she wanted to make the design look a little more professional.
{Old Header Design}

So, we re-designed the header (but went with the same theme), kept the pinks and greens, added a bold floral background design, and included swirly buttons in her sidebar.

Pretty sweet, huh?

Elyse Hall Photography Blog
February 17, 2010

My little sister Elyse is a wedding photographer and has been photographing weddings and families professionally for over five years (you can find her photography site here). She is quite creative and her work has been featured in the Knot’s Magazine and the Knot Book!
She wanted a fresh blog and logo update using gray and orange colors. To make her pictures the focal point, we used a light-gray honeycomb background in her simple blog design. We also tried a few options for the blog header and ultimately went with the orange camera in the tree (although I love the little orange bird too and wanted to display it here).

Inspiration Station
January 26, 2010
This Simple Blog Design was created for my sister-in-law, AnnMarie. She wanted a functional blog for her family to keep track of their weekly updates. Since she also has four boys, she wanted it to look “pretty, but not girly”. So we went with blues and greens in the background, with a few stripes. I also set up a navigation bar that coordinated with her post labels. Finally, we integrated her Google Calendar onto the sidebar.

Mom it Forward
March 29, 2009
All I can say is that I am quick!
Jyl contacted me late Friday night needing urgent help with her website. Some of her plans had changed and at the last minute, she needed an affordable web design and quick!! So, I helped her to transfer all of her content into this website that I set up, installed, built and designed - in two days!
This was a Professional Website Design, that has categorized live blog updates on her front page, along with a blog of her post content. We transferred in all of Jyl’s work from her Blogger address and set it up to have a professional look that would be able to meet her current business goals.
Jyl of Mom it Forward is the girl behind Twitter’s Girl’s Night Out (#GNO) each Tuesday night. Mom it Forward is also an organization of women and moms dedicated to strengthening families and communities by first strengthening moms. A pretty cool place to visit if I do say so myself.

Finally, I wanted to mention this cute image. It was created by Graphic Designer Rebecca Servoss of Persnickety Graphic Design. Isn’t her work fantastic? It ties in the colors and theme for Mom it Forward and was just the right touch for this site.
